The one night in the year when the greatest angel (JIbreel) comes down and wanders the Earth to see who is in worship of Allah. Imagine him being drawn to your location by your prayers, whilst everyone else is asleep. He watches you pray and says “Ameen!” then he heads off to the next praying persons location.

The flip side of that is, imagine he passes right by your house and stops at your neighbours’ to witness them in prayer whilst you were asleep.

That Special Place

The Dara Salam Mosque, also known as Alhaji Ibrahim’s Mosque, located in Accra, Ghana, holds a special place in my heart as my favorite mosque in the entire world. 

Though modest in size and nestled within a residential area, it exudes an unparalleled sense of tranquility. Praying on the lush lawn beneath the vast canopy of a towering tree, has gifted me with the most profound peace I have ever experienced in any mosque.
